There are many great fence companies in Broken Arrow, OK. We feel, here at Fence Builders of Oklahoma, that we are the best. Our estimates are always free, as they should be. Be leery of someone trying to charge you a fee just to come give you a price on a fence project.
Fence Builders of Oklahoma offers financing for fencing projects. If you have pets or are worried about security and safety, having your fence blow down in a storm can be just as bad as your washing machine or hot water tank go out unexpectedly. Depending on the size of the job, you might not have the funds readily available to get your fence repaired or replaced. This is where our financing option comes in to help get you back to whole.
Fence Builders of Oklahoma offer a 1 year warranty. Virtual every thing on your fence is covered. Materials and Labor. So say you have a picket that has a knot hole in it that falls out after 10 months. Yup, we'll be out and replace it. If a post becomes loose in the ground because we didn't use enough concrete for whatever reason, we are coming out to fix it. We know for a fact that other companies "offer" a 1 year warranty, but very very few come back out to honor it. That is not the case with us. When you call to get something repaired, as long as you are patient, we ALWAYS will come and make it right!
Repairs are typically done within a week or two, but sometimes can take longer depending on time of year and our workload. The only item that we do not cover in our warranty are pressure treated products from warping, bowing, or shrinking. In 2008, the EPA changed the requirements of what chemicals can be used to treat pressure treated wood. Since then, warping and bowing has been an issue. Obviously when we purchase and install it, its perfect. But several months after install, it may start to bow. We can't look into the future, no matter what supplier we are using or what saw mill we are purchasing lumber from and see which materials we are installing will have defects like this, and which won't.
We do however offer, past the 1 year warranty period, a $150 service call option for repeat customers. If you have an issue like this, 3 years down the line, we charge $150 for the service call, plus the price of whatever material is being replaced.
Oklahoma has a wide range of weather as most know. From freezing rain and snow, to extremely wet springs and tornados, high winds, drought, and extreme heat. If you've lived in Oklahoma for a short amount of time, you've probably experienced them all in about a month.
General rule of thumb, is anything that is made with metal supports or posts as your foundation for the fence its going to hold up longer than wood. With that being said, sometimes metal or steel posts are not an option for some customers. Wood posts have a typical lifespan of about 15 years.
There are option available to prolong this by adding post savers to the base of your posts. Through the company Post Saver, they guarantee wood posts to not rot or break for 20 years. Steel posts however will typically last upwards of 50 years depending on the application.
The overall age of a privacy fence, meaning the vertical pickets and horizontal 2x4s will last around 15 years. We use cedar for our fence pickets, and have options of either pressure treated 2x4s or Douglas fir 2x4s which all typically last that 15 year time frame.
